Venues are the locations where events are held or are locations where people can go to. For example a nightclub might hold regular theme nights on Fridays so it is added as a venue. Alternatively a restaurant might hold a food tasting event once every few months so it is added as a venue.

Events are the things that are happening in a particular city. Only the events for the particular city the visitor or member is located in is shown on the page. If the user changes their hometown to another city then the events from that new city are listed.
